System operating principles:
1. The installed meter interface unit collects meter-readings by using the surplus hookup wires to join up meters in series. While the PLC bridge built in meter interface unit offers online channels to householders.
2. The meter interface unit which connects to sub district broadband network could communicate with data concentrator unit by TCP/IP protocol so as to transmit local data.
3. The data concentrator unit which accesses to PLC backbone network could communicate with the central station to carry out the remote data transmission.
4. The central station links to the marketing system of Power Company that is to play the functions of recording, accounting and charging.
